Women's Council of Realtors installs new officers at luncheon

At the October luncheon meeting of the Coweta Women's Council of Realtors held at the SummerGrove Clubhouse, the 2010 officers were installed by the president of the Georgia State Chapter, Joan Shanks of Duluth, Ga.

She commended the chapter on their increase in membership during this challenging real estate market, when many Realtors are getting out of the business. She also stressed the importance of WCR in helping Realtors survive and thrive in this market through the extensive referral network, powerful support system, leadership development, latest business techniques, pertinent programs and speakers, and education available to members.

National Association of Realtors statistics show that WCR members earn nearly twice as much as the national average for Realtors.

The Women's Council of Realtors was started in 1938 with 37 women. Today it is comprised of more than 16,000 real estate professionals, both men and women.

There are more than 300 local and state chapters and it is the most successful network in the National Association of Realtors family. Additionally it is the 12th largest U.S. women's professional organization.
