Three students -- including two from the local area -- were graduated from St. Michael's Seminary.
The three graduates are all affiliated with Charismatic Episcopal churches in the Diocese of the Mid-South. Jereme De Leo of Newnan received a licentiate of theology. Joseph Liptak of Fayetteville and John Boggs of Manchester, Tenn. received master of ministry degrees.
The graduation ceremony was held Oct. 10 at the Cathedral of Christ the King near Sharpsburg. The graduation address, "Study to Show Yourself Approved," by given by Bishop David Epps, and diplomas were presented by Dr. Robert Wills of Woodbury, seminary mentor and Canon Theologian.
Each graduate spoke briefly on what their seminary experience meant. Several clergy in the diocese participated in the commencement service including Archdeacon Randall Allen of Covington, Archdeacon Jonathan Landon of Senoia, Dr. Judy Massey of Peachtree City, Canon Paul Massey of Peachtree City, Deacon Tony McGee of Newnan, Father Stanley Samuel of Royston and Deacon Bill Shelton of Peachtree City.
Music was provided by Mrs. Jeanie McGee of Newnan.
