Jerry Lee Gillispie, 55, of Thomaston, Ga., died Nov. 2, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. in the Pine Mountain Church of the Nazarene in Meansville. Friends may visit the family Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the church. Moody Funeral Home, Zebulon, Ga.

Sammie Joann Smith, 71, of Newnan, Ga., died at her residence on Oct. 30, 2009. Graveside funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. at Westminster Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home Monday from 11 a.m. until service time. Higgins Hillcrest Chapel, Newnan, Ga.

Bertha Traylor of Newnan, Ga., died Nov. 1, 2009. Arrangements are being handled by R.W. Andrews Mortuary, East Point, Ga.

Alma Ward, formerly of Grantville, Ga., died Oct. 31, 2009, in Decatur, Ga. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home Inc., Newnan, Ga.

David Charles Westra, 69, of Claussen Rd., Florence, SC, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, in the McLeod Hospice. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, Florence, SC. The family will be at the residence of Annie Kate Gregg.
