Mrs. Helen Irene Banks, 82, of Fayetteville, Ga., formerly of Newnan, Ga., died Nov. 4, 2009. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edgar L. Banks Jr. of Fayetteville; daughters, Diane Hambrick and husband John Hambrick, deceased, of Newnan, Kay Banks of Fayetteville, and Nancy and Mike Guy of Newnan; son, Wayne and Joyce Banks of Senoia; grandchildren Christie and Don Mappin of Newnan, John and Cheryl Hambrick Jr. of Moscow, TN, Terri and Scott Bryan of Senoia, Carrie Hambrick and husband Alan of Fayetteville, Traci and Shane Hammock of Senoia, Heather and Ben Wood of Covington, and Matt Guy of Newnan; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, Fayetteville, with Rev. Randy Wood and Rev. Buddy Hammett officiating. She will lie in state at 1 p.m. until time of service. The burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. at C.J.
