Mrs. Frances Emma McCoy

Obituary

Mrs. Frances Emma McCoy, age 87, of Sharpsburg, Ga., died at Heritage Health Care of Greenville on Oct. 29, 2009. She was born on Aug. 27, 1922, to the late Samuel H. Stitcher and Audie B. Pritt Stitcher.

Mrs. McCoy was a member of Cross Plains Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walt McCoy; son, Michael Donald Bishop; daughter, Deborah Ann Bishop. Surviving are her sons, James Floyd Bishop and his wife, Dale, and Robert Tommy Bishop; daughter, Shirley Ann Arrington; 28 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.higginshillcrestchapel.com. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Stitcher officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, 6-8 p.m. Higgins Hillcrest Chapel, Newnan.
