Obituary
Mrs. Eddis B. Self, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and former Sunday School Teacher of many Junior boys and girls, passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harvey Self; daughter, Sonja Gordy and her husband, Steve, of Ellijay; son, DaLane Self and his wife, Kathey, of Elm City, NC; brothers, Alfred K. Byers and his wife, Lena, of Palmetto, Raymond E. Byers and his wife, Phyllis, of NC; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Rev. Harvey Self and Rev. Rhys Key officiating. Interment Holly Hill Memorial Park.
