Christian author Cote to read to children at SouthCrest

Christian author Jenny Cote will be visiting with children at SouthCrest Church on Nov. 8.

Elementary students through sixth grade are invited to meet Cote on Nov. 8 at the churche's third worship service -- at 12:45 p.m. SouthCrest has three identical services on Sunday mornings at 9, 10:15 and 11:30.

Cote is the author of "The Ark, the Reed and the Fire Cloud" and "The Dreamer, The Schemer and The Robe." Cote wins the imagination of readers to help them understand God's provision and perseverance.

She gives a creative interpretation to the biblical stories of Noah and the ark and Joseph and his coat of many colors.

Michelle Gardiner, family life director at SouthCrest, said Cote will share "what the ark may have looked like in real life and the amazing facts about Egypt." The author also will read and share how God inspired her to write.

Children and their parents will enjoy a picnic lunch during the program.
