Prison ministry program set for Wednesday

A prison ministry workshop, Growing Ministries in Georgia, will be held Oct. 18.

The workshop will take place at Southern Crescent Church of Christ at Tyrone from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Speakers will be Steve Cooper, Ray Cox, Buck Griffith, Mike Hill and Warden Edd Sanders.

"The purpose of this event is to introduce material that produces life changes in detainees with the goal of enabling them to remain free after release," said organizer Ron Tomme. "The recidivism rate in our prison systems is appalling, ranging up to 67 percent in many states."

Presenters at the workshop have many years of effective work and will be sharing their experience and techniques. To register go to southerncrescentcoc.org .

For information, call 678-378-5531 or email rontomme@numail.org .
